Chris Leslie

Chris is a Glasgow based photographer and filmmaker who has been documenting Red Road and its residents for over 3 years. Chris recently gained a distinction award for a Masters in Documentary Photography course for his project – Hope, memories, loss and community – telling hidden stories of regeneration throughout Glasgow, from the closure of Paddy’s Market to the demolition of Sighthill and the Oatlands.  He is continuing with this project and the documentation of a changing Glasgow under the title of ‘The Glasgow Renaissance.’

For Red Road he is currently working on Red Road Underground -  a special collaboration between photographer Chris Leslie and illustrator Mitch Miller documenting the last days of Glasgow’s iconic Red Road Flats in the form of a ‘hidden’ underground bingo hall and a nautically themed bar called The Brig.
